Grandfather

The series is of my grandfather. It shows some of the rituals of his life as he occupies his space. The coffee and cookie he has while he listens to the radio. The photograph of his wife when she was young is placed under a lamp that he lights up every day as if it were a shrine. He has a penchant for hats, gambling, pretty women, lucky charms and collecting things. His home is filled with things covering every shelf, window frame or wall space. My favourite image is of the pants placed on the rack with a choice of shoes ready for the next day. He was always ready for tomorrow. I captured these photos in 2008. He has since passed away.
